AI Meta Ads — Facebook & Instagram on Autopilot

Skip Ads Manager entirely. From your event listing alone, BrightStar’s AI composes and rotates Facebook & Instagram ads across the whole sales cycle.

Running Facebook and Instagram ads for an event usually means blocking out real hours inside Ads Manager: writing headlines, sourcing images, building out audience targeting, cutting several variations of everything, then checking back in to see what's actually working. If you're putting on a kirtan night, a retreat, or a festival, that time usually comes out of the same hours you need for the event itself — confirming the venue, briefing facilitators, answering attendee questions. AI Meta Ads removes that layer of work. You publish your event listing on BrightStar and switch it on; BrightStar's AI reads what you've already written — the title, description, images, dates — and composes a full rotation of Facebook and Instagram ads from it. It's worth being clear about what this is not: it isn't retargeting, which chases people who already visited your page. This is the earlier step — creating the campaigns in the first place, from a listing you were going to write anyway.

How it works

From listing to live ads, the whole path runs through four steps:

  1. 1Create your event listing as normal — title, description, images, dates
  2. 2Toggle AI Meta Ads on and set a budget you approve
  3. 3The AI drafts multiple creative variations (headlines, body, imagery) from the listing
  4. 4Ads are matched to the stage of the sales cycle, and the rotation refreshes as the event approaches

What the ads look like at each stage of your sales cycle

Early in the cycle, when most people haven't heard of your event yet, the ads are broad and evocative — introducing the event and the feeling of being there rather than pushing a hard sell. As the date gets closer and people start weighing whether to come, the creative shifts to consideration: social proof, lineup or agenda highlights, and how the ticket tiers compare. In the final stretch, the messaging turns to urgency — last-call framing, low-inventory signals, and deadline reminders aimed at people who've been meaning to buy but haven't yet. Several variations run at each stage side by side, and BrightStar surfaces whichever versions are actually performing rather than locking you into one option for weeks. The rotation keeps refreshing as the event approaches, which matters for events with long sales windows — a retreat announced months out needs different messaging than one three days before doors open.

Why let AI handle it instead of doing it yourself

The obvious upside is time: no Ads Manager, no copywriting from scratch, no manually building a dozen variations to test. The less obvious upside is consistency. Because every ad is generated from the listing you already wrote, the creative stays on-brand automatically instead of drifting the way ad copy often does when it's written separately from the event page. And because the rotation refreshes on its own, the ads don't go stale the way a single boosted post does after running for weeks. AI Meta Ads is also built to compound with retargeting rather than replace it — pairing it with Meta retargeting and lookalike audiences means the ads it creates are also working to re-engage people who already visited your event page, not just reaching cold audiences for the first time.

How this fits with retargeting

AI Meta Ads and retargeting solve different problems, but BrightStar is set up so they can run at the same time without stepping on each other. Retargeting resolves the pixels connected to your event — BrightStar's own, and the organizer's, if one is connected — and once someone buys a ticket, they're added to an exclusion audience so they stop seeing ads for an event they've already paid for. That means the campaigns AI Meta Ads creates for you are reaching people who haven't bought yet, while retargeting handles the separate job of pulling back visitors who looked but left.

AI Meta Ads is a BrightStar Amplify feature and carries a 15% management fee on top of your ad spend. Nothing runs until you've approved the budget, so there's no risk of a campaign starting to spend before you've confirmed a number you're comfortable with.

Common questions

Can BrightStar run my Facebook and Instagram ads for me?

Yes. BrightStar's AI Meta Ads feature reads your published event listing and composes a full rotation of Facebook and Instagram ads for you, so you never have to open Ads Manager. It handles the copywriting, imagery and creative variations that would normally take hours to build by hand.

This works because the ads are generated directly from your event listing rather than from a separate creative brief, so BrightStar's AI already has the title, description, images and dates it needs before you set a budget. That is also what separates AI Meta Ads from retargeting: retargeting only reaches people who already visited your page, while this creates the campaigns that reach people who haven't yet.

How do I turn on AI Meta Ads for my event?

Create your event listing on BrightStar as normal with the title, description, images and dates, then toggle AI Meta Ads on and set a budget you approve. From there the AI drafts multiple creative variations from the listing and puts them live. Nothing runs until you have approved the budget.

Budget is handled as a prepaid weekly period rather than an open-ended spend. Committing a budget writes a billing record against the campaign that splits the amount you fund into an ad-spend portion and a fee portion, stamps a period start and end covering the weeks purchased, and holds the record in a pending state with the payment marked as still required. Nothing is funded until that payment clears, and extending a campaign means buying another period rather than letting a balance run down unattended.

Do I have to write the ad copy or supply the images?

No. BrightStar's AI Meta Ads generates the headlines, body copy and imagery from the event listing you already created, and drafts several variations rather than a single ad. The creative stays on-brand because it is built from your own listing content.

The copy generator works to Meta's own limits: primary text of at most 125 characters, a headline of at most 40, and a description of at most 30. One copy set is written and then rendered into feed and stories placements, with a video variant added when the listing has video. The voice rules it works under are explicit about what to avoid: no artificial urgency or fear-of-missing-out framing, no capitalised shouting, no repeated punctuation, and no hyperbolic claims. It is also required to state the location, or say Online, plainly.

Do the ads change as my event date gets closer?

Yes. BrightStar matches the ad creative to the stage of the sales cycle and refreshes the rotation as the event approaches. Early ads are broad and evocative to build awareness, mid-cycle ads lean on social proof, lineup or agenda highlights and ticket-tier framing, and late ads use last-call, low-inventory and deadline messaging. Several variations run at each stage so the best performers surface automatically.

The shift in messaging follows how people actually decide to attend: someone hearing about the event needs to be introduced to it, someone who already knows about it needs proof it's worth attending, and someone who has been putting off buying needs a reason to act now. Running several variations at each stage is what lets BrightStar surface whichever version actually converts.

Is there a fee for using AI Meta Ads?

Yes. AI Meta Ads is a BrightStar Amplify feature and carries a 15% management fee on ad spend, on top of the ad budget itself. You always approve the budget before anything runs.

The 15 percent is defined in one place in the campaign cost calculation and carried through to billing, where the ad-spend amount and the fee amount are stored as separate fields on the record rather than as a single lump. That is what makes the split visible after the fact instead of something to be inferred. It is charged per campaign week alongside the budget, not as a recurring subscription. Email sends inside an Amplify campaign are costed separately again, on a per-message basis, so the two do not get mixed together.

Is AI Meta Ads the same thing as retargeting?

No, they are different and they work together. AI Meta Ads is about creating the campaigns from your listing, while retargeting chases visitors who already left your event page. BrightStar recommends pairing AI Meta Ads with Meta retargeting and lookalike audiences so the newly created ads also re-engage people who already visited.

The retargeting side resolves two pixels for an event: BrightStar's own and the organizer's, when one is connected. Funnel events are sent twice on purpose, once from the browser and once server-side, and the server call reuses the identifier the browser already fired with so Meta collapses the pair into one event instead of counting it twice. Contact details are hashed before they leave. A purchase also adds that buyer to an exclusion audience, so somebody who has already bought stops being shown ads for the event they are holding a ticket to.
